To join Auckland LUG...

To contact folks for the purposes of discussing Linux - tips, tricks, help requests, experiences and knowledge shared... this is the role of the Auckland LUG Mailing list. On the mailing list all manner of business relating to Linux and the User Group are discussed.

To join the mailing list visit the list info page and follow the instructions for subscribing. You'll also find on that page, information about the mailing list, the web archive (all posts to the list are archived, publically and permanently) and for those already subscribed, the means to manage your own subscription.
This includes unsubscription, should you wish, and also allows you to configure plain-text delivery, digest mode (to reduce mail volume) and other features.

The mailing list administrators can be reached by putting either 'mark' 'scott' or 'nic' infront of @linux.net.nz to send them an email. Alternatively there's a link to email them at the bottom of the listinfo page linked above.

Monthly meetings are coordinated by Nevyn Hira. His email address is 'nevynh' at gmail.com.

Meetings & Events

AuckLUG hold monthly meetings, usually on the evening of the first Monday of every month. These meetings are usually quite informal but often feature guest speakers on a Linux or Free/Open Source related subject, a meeting of minds and some light refreshments. Not from Auckland?

Linux.net.nz maintain a list of Linux Users Groups from around NZ. There are User Groups in almost all parts of the country. If you can't find a group in your area, why not start one? If you're aware of a group not listed, please let Nic or Mark know.
